From Kolkata Airport [CCU]: Pre booked cabs to IIT Kharagpur are available at the airport. Alternately on prior intimation, OIR can assist with transports at reasonable charges. Cabs from Kolkata Airport are also available to Howrah station.

Local, Passenger and express trains ply between Howrah and Kharagpur (Stn code: KGP). Long Distance Express trains connect with KGP from Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata. There are apps to locate or track the train you are travelling on, like IRCTC, Where is my train, etc.

White Cabs and Autos are available from Kharagpur Train Station to the IITKGP Campus at a nominal fare.

Howrah Station to IITKGP, it takes 2.5 hours to travel through taxi. Fare is around Rs 3000/-.

KGP junction station to IITKGP, it takes 15mins to 20mins.
