(i) The two parties agree to cooperate in running Undergraduate Student Internship for research purposes. The visit of the student(s) must be approved by the professor(s) under whom the student will pursue the internship (ii) The visiting period shall be from 6 months to 1 year. (i) NIUA will identify thrust areas of the program in consultation with IITKGP and other BASIIC partners, policy think tanks, academic and research institutions. (ii) IITKGP will assist NIUA to : (a) bring in domain expertise from IITKGP in accessibility, safety & inclusivity for research and development, formulation of innovative urban solutions, knowledge management, training and capacity building. (b) Provide technical advisory or technical support to Municipal Corporations/SPVs, and state governments on inclusive development aspects, but not limited to infrastructure projects, and other such intervention as maybe agreed from time to time. (c) Enable virtual linking or networking of technical resources in the specific thematic area, synthesizing of best practices and ressearch updates in the specified theme. (d) Collaborate on central ministries and states in policy development initiatives related to thematic areas of BASIIC. (e) Involve professors across various departments of IITKGP to act as mentors of the Design Challange/Hackathon and to train the innovators/start-ups working on developing innovative solutions for disability related aspects. (f) Be involved in further networking with other institutions in their respective thematic areas so as to develop a knowledge ecosphere in the country.
