(i) The two parties agree to cooperate in running Undergraduate Student Internship for research purposes. The visit of the student(s) must be approved by the professor(s) under whom the student will pursue the internship (ii) The visiting period shall be from 6 months to 1 year. The credits earned in the hosting university shall be transferred back to the home university. Upon completion, the students shall return to the home institute. (iii) The number of students participating in the Undergraduate Student Internship shall be no more than 20 students per year. This number maybe changed with mutual consent. (iv) The students who can participate in this program are undergraduate students who have completed at least 3 years of study at their home institute. (v) The students from both universities who are working on their final projects (research) are allowed to stay in a laboratory at the hosting university under the supervision of the joint supervisor professor. (vi) The students from both universities are allowed to use the facilities under the supervision of the authorized professor or laboratory assistant based on the agreement between the supervisor in their home university and the Professor of the hosting university.

(i) NIUA will identify thrust areas of the program in consultation with IITKGP and other BASIIC partners, policy think tanks, academic and research institutions. It will additionally introduce IITKGP to relevant Central and State Governments and Institutions. (ii) IITKGP will assist NIUA to : (a) bring in domain expertise from IITKGP in accessibility, safety & inclusivity for research and development, formulation of innovative urban solutions, knowledge management, training and capacity building. (b) Provide technical advisory or technical support to Municipal Corporations/SPVs, and state governments on inclusive development aspects, but not limited to infrastructure projects, and other such intervention as maybe agreed from time to time. (c) Enable virtual linking or networking of technical resources in the specific thematic area, synthesizing of best practices and ressearch updates in the specified theme. (d) Collaborate on central ministries and states in policy development initiatives related to thematic areas of BASIIC. (e) Involve professors across various departments of IITKGP to act as mentors of the Design Challange/Hackathon and to train the innovators/start-ups working on developing innovative solutions for disability related aspects. (f) Be involved in further networking with other institutions in their respective thematic areas so as to develop a knowledge ecosphere in the country. (iii) The specific activities to be undertaken under this MoU will be decided from time to time on mutual consultation and separate written arrangements depending on the requirements of the activities will be signed. (iv) The two parties will explore opportunities of undertaking research projects. Each such research proposal shall require approval of respective institutions and the Terms Reference will be worked out separately for each project.
