About the Semester Away Program
SAP is an ambitious program of the institute wherein a student is given the opportunity of pursuing a semester or two in other reputed institutions in India/abroad. This helps the student to gain international exposure and also explore the opportunities at those institutes. The students of an institute as eminent as IIT Kharagpur have the capability and potential to shine in various domains of their choice in future. The Semester Away Program is one of the flagship programmes offered by the institute through which a student can pursue one or two semesters of education in another university abroad. Such an experience can prove to be transformational in the overall development of the students and equip them with various skills necessary to adapt themselves to new situations and tackle new challenges confidently.
