In early 2019, IIT Kharagpur launched the Asoke Deysarkar International Program (ADSIP), funded by distinguished alumnus and US-based petrochemical entrepreneur, Dr. Asoke Deysarkar [1968/BSc/CY/VS] [1971/B Tech/CH/VS].

ADSIP is a Full Scholarship Program for SAARC nationals to study at IIT Kharagpur. Under this program full time students and research scholars from SAARC nations can visit our Institute during the summer/winter breaks or for an entire semester. They can attend courses and/or work on research projects guided by one of our faculty members. Each application will go through a rigorous selection process and successful candidates will receive scholarships covering tuition fees, airfare, living expenses and medical insurance. The scholarship is open to both full-time degree seeking students as well as short term visitors from SAARC countries.
