1] While you were in college, what was your motivation to go for higher studies and in which year did
you get that motivation? How did you manage your academics with your preparation?
Ans: He never wanted to do a job as it did not attract him. He was always motivated for research

2] What are the factors that you considered for selecting the universities you are going to apply for?
Ans: He considered universities which had GRE scores optional. He considered subject qs rankings
and consulted seniors

3] How are you planning to manage your finances? Have you applied for any scholarships? What were
their procedures?
Ans: He has applied for scholarships, which reduce rate of interest of loan. And he will be applying for
TA at the university

4] Is CGPA a factor while considering higher studies at foreign universities?
Ans: It is a major factor as we have seen in all the previous interviews. It is used as a filter for viewing
profiles

5] Have you taken up any research project at your bachelor/master's level under any professor here at
IIT KGP? How did you manage your college studies and worked for your research?
Ans: Yes he took up projects in Robotics under two professors at IIT adn easily managed the college
studies

6] How did IIT KGP benefit you in your journey?
Ans: He mentioned that the KGP tag helped a lot!

7] What are the suggestions that you would give your juniors who want to pursue higher studies?
Could you please give a rough roadmap to ease their journey?
Ans: He said you have to be absolutely sure if you want to pursue research or get a placement before
4th year. You should maintain a good cgpa and start preparing for GRE andd TOEFL as people keep
procrastinating it.
