Korea Research Fellowship (KRF)

This is to inform that the MSIT (Ministry of Science and ICT) and NRF (National Research Foundation of Korea) welcome applications from host researchers in South Korea who wish to invite prospective overseas Ph.D researchers to join the Korea Research Fellowship (KRF) program – Round 2. This program is designed to help overseas post-doc researchers produce outstanding achievements and pursue mutual growth in South Korea. PennState University - 1 year MS Degree Program

Raman Charpak Fellowship 2019

The Raman-Charpak Fellowship is a flagship programme for Indo-French researchers mobility implemented by the Indo-French Centre for Promotion of Advanced Research (IFCPAR/CEFIPRA) and is jointly funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India and the French Institute in India (IFI), French Embassy in India, Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Government of France. It aims at fostering mobility of highly qualified Indian & French PhD and French Master’s students between the two countries for a duration of 2 to 6 months in aorder to broaden the scope and depth of future engagements in Science, Technology and Innovation.

Nagaoka Summer School for Young Engineers

Nagaoka University of Technology (NUT) is currently inviting students from overseas universities to apply for the Nagaoka Summer School for Young Engineers (NASSYE) in 2019. This program is open to students in the third year of university undergraduate program. The programs offers students the opportunity to participate in research on the topics set by the laboratories at NUT, as well as cultural exchange.

CLEOPATRA project

The CLEOPATRA project (a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network) started on 1 January 2019. It offers a unique interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral research and training programme, which will explore how we can begin to analyse and understand how the major events that influence and shape our lives and societies play out online. The CLEOPATRA ITN will hire 15 Early Stage Researchers (ESRs) in the areas of the Semantic Web, Natural Language Processing, Human Computer Interaction, Digital Humanities and Social Sciences. ESRs will be appointed starting from 1st July 2019 across the consortium. The applicants can come from any country in the world, and need to be in the first 4 years after the completion of the masters degree. The deadlines of each project varies, with the earliest deadline being 15 Feb, 2019.

MEXT Scholarship

Deadline: Feb. 01, 2019

MEXT scholarship, provided by the University of Tokyo is a government scholarship fully funded by Japan allowing international students to study in fully funded Japanese universities. The scholarship is for the international students who wish to study at Japanese universities as Undergraduate and Postgraduate students under the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship Program. Application deadline is around the END OF JANUARY. Online interview will be on Feb 18 or 19, at the India Office of the University of Tokyo, New Delhi. NOTE: The highest priority will be given to applicants with Indian nationality. MEXT scholarship offers seven categories of scholarship.

New Projects out in FTP Portal!

It has been a while since we set out on an endeavour to make KGP go International, and as a testimony of our commitment, it gives us immense pleasure to share the details of the latest research collaborations for Foreign Training which will be available in IR Cell’s FT Portal starting from today. Funded projects are available from the renowned universities like NTU Singapore, Technische Universität München, University of Warwick, and the research labs like the Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung, all of which are interested to hire UG, PG and RS students. It is our belief that such opportunities can bring a drastic scale-up in the research profiles of any level and hence students are advised to actively apply in large numbers in choices of their fields. In the best interest of the applicants, FT Portal has now been updated with an “Edit Your Profile” option, wherein all applicants need to upload their latest, CVs, SOPs and transcripts to continue to be eligible for the application process.

IITKGPF International Internship Award

IITKGPF International Internship Award is meant to support meritorious students availing for high-quality international research and professional internships. Nature of support: The value of each award is between $3000-$5000 and is administrated directly by IITKGPF. If extra support is necessary the awardee is responsible for arranging it. Selection Criteria- The Quality of the Host institution/company, the Quality of the proposed research/professional internship and the academic standing of the applicant. FT collaboration with University of Warwick

With this year coming to an end, we want to end this year on a high note, bringing in a few more exciting foreign internship opportunities. We are glad to announce fully funded foreign training collaboration with University of Warwick, United Kingdom! The Collaboration involves a Foreign Internship during the summers for 8 weeks for Undergraduate students and 11 weeks for Postgraduate students under one supervisor each from Warwick Manufacturing Group and IIT Kharagpur, after which the students can complete their projects under the home supervisor. Projects under this collaboration can be found on IR Cell's FT portal, deadlines for same being 4th January '19. The student community is encouraged to put forward their applications for this one of a kind opportunity.

NTU India Connect Program

NTU-India Connect Research Internship Programme In Singapore This is a university-wide short-term research programme lasting for 2 to 6 months. It is initiated to enable undergraduate and graduate students from Indian Universities and Institutes of higher learning to pursue research at NTU. Participants of this programme will work under the supervision of NTU faculty, develop a strong research interest and expertise in a given research field, experience multicultural living, gain a network of friends and a better understanding of Singapore. Eligible students may be given an allowance, and are expected to fulfil a minimum of 8 weeks research attachment comprising research project work at NTU. Interested students are requested to please go through the requirements document uploaded below and submit their recommendation forms to the OIR before Dec 26, 2018 to ensure their timely processing. Also, please note that people whose internship are MANDATORY can only apply.

Charpak Scholarship

This scholarship is designed for exchange students from all the streams and fields of study, enrolled in an Indian institution, for a period of one to four months (duration of an academic semester) at the Bachelor’s or Master’s degree level. The Charpak Exchange Program offers Charpak AME Scholarship (Allocation Mensuelle d’Entretien) with the following benefits to scholarship awardees based on merit: : - Living allowance of 615 euros - Medical insurance coverage (approx. 300 euros / academic year) - Student visa fee waiver (16,500 INR approx.) - Assistance to find affordable student accommodation.

SFU - IIT Research Collaboration

For: Senior Undergraduate and Graduate Students

Simon Fraser University (SFU) and Mitacs have partnered to support research collaborations between SFU and the IITs. Together they will provide 10 awards annually for IIT senior undergraduate and graduate students across India to conduct research at SFU. Awards are valued at $6,000 CAD per student and help to support travel, accommodation, and living expenses over a 12-week research project at SFU. An additional $2,000 top-up from SFU is available for students participating in research placements with SFU’s Faculty of Applied Science ($8,000 CAD total award value). Selected IIT students may begin their exchange at SFU as early as May 2019.

NCCU Elite Scholarship Program

NCCU currently offers six Master’s and Doctoral degree for international students. These include International Master’s; Doctoral Programs in Asia-Pacific Studies, Communication, Economics, International Affairs and Business (IDAS, IMAS, IMICS, IMES, IMPIS, and IMBA). Information for International Degree Students for Spring 2019 admissions will be available at the NCCU website from September 7, 2018. Applications will be accepted from September 27, 2018 to October 22, 2018. The NCCU Elite Scholarship Program provides a full tuition waiver and a monthly living stipend for two years (Master’s program) or three years (Doctoral program), ensuring that international students can focus all their attention and energy on their studies. CISCO USA Internship Program

Cisco USA has a 1 year all expenses paid internship for international students, where they work in real labs on real projects in San Jose, California, while delaying their graduation by 1 year. Several students have been through this program, and most of them also got job offers from Cisco, upon completion of their BTech or MTech.
