1. How did you apply for foreign internship?
I created a list of companies from different countries which I was targeting and started applying in them by mailing them my portfolio and other details.

2. What was the role of CGPA for your foreign internship?
There was no role of CGPA. In professional work, I think CGPA does not matter much. For me the main thing was a good and comparable portfolio.

3. What were the difficulties you faced during the entire process?
Initially, the company was very busy so they were not able to make my work permit. It took about two months to get a work permit. I also faced linguistic issues , I was not able to communicate properly with the HR members. For the first two months I worked in the company, but later the covid broke out and the city that I was in was in a complete lockdown for the rest of the 3 months. So I worked from the place where I was residing there. I was not able to go out anywhere in the country and also had to cook the food on my own. But everything was manageable.

4. How would you describe your overall experience in Germany?
It was a very amazing experience. The people of Germany were really helpful and and working with company also gave me a very good exposure.

5. What advice would you like to give to our fellow KGPians who aspire for foreign internship?
This year it will be difficult for the students to secure an internship in other countries as many companies are facing problems due to covid. But I will recommend the students to not give up keep trying. Most of the companies sort students only one the their portfolio. So maintaining a good portfolio is a must.
