Research Area: Leveraging AI for polysomnographic brain data analytics

What was your research topic?
My research topic was Leveraging AI for polysomnographic brain data analytics in large cohorts: Sleep brain activity and its modulation by depression.

Why do you think FT is important?
I wanted to explore research areas and before doing FT, I didn't get that option. Beyond this, doing research gives us more information and ideas related to that topic. So I think FT is important.

From where did you get the motivation and how did you apply for FT?
I got motivated by my seniors. I wanted to have an opportunity in the research field and securing a FT could give me a chance so I applied through the IR cell FT portal.

What was the role of CGPA for FT?
I have a good CGPA, so I think a good CGPA helped me to get shortlisted. And if you don't have done any research in your past then CG plays a vital role.

Did you face any difficulty in the whole process?
Due to this Pandemic ,I was not able to go to the University. There were communication delays from the university initially. But later on it got fine and everything went smoothly.

What advice would you like to give to our fellow KGPians who aspire for FT?
There are various subjects available for research, so sort the research areas according to your interest in the various departments. Even if you want to do research in other departments then you should do it. Always give priority to your interest.
