Pavel Karmanav

"Hello, My name is Pavel Karmanav. I am from Russia. Previously I took the diploma in Physics from Trans Bacus State University in Mining and currently I am doing a project in Geology and Geophysics from IIT Kharagpur under professor Privika Vandamanin. I came to India first in 2013 to Goa as a traveler and visited some places like the ancient city Vijayanagar in Karnataka. After that, last year I wanted to know is there any possibility in my branch especially in IIT Kharagpur to pursue my studies further. I was interested in India from my childhood. It's an interesting country with a distinct culture. This visit to India is my third time and this time in IIT Kharagpur as a student to explore more. I have a lot of things to observe. It’s a marvelous, wonderful and precious country. IIT Kharagpur is a large institute with more possibilities (many departments) and lots of learning in my specialty (my field, Geology and Geophysics). Also in India, there is a very interesting and unusual culture to observe. I like spicy food of India. Stay is good and people are kind and helpful.
It is a pleasant experience staying at IIT Kharagpur."
