The Hall Management Center of IIT Kharagpur runs a total of 20 on-campus residential halls for its students and two family accommodations for students with family.

The Sir Ashutosh Mukherjee or SAM Hall of Residence has 47 climate controlled rooms with attached baths available for our international student visitors. Guest room charges vary depending upon occupancy.

In addition to the SAM hall of residence another 9 halls have furnished guest accommodation facilities, which are available at a nominal payment. Rents for these guest rooms vary depending upon single or double occupancy. On-campus accommodation is also available for summer/winter/short term interns.
